Once you create a signal, you can manage it directly from the Signals page. Every signal row has a settings menu with the actions available for that signal.

Open the settings menu

Click the three-dot menu on any signal row to see the available actions. Every signal has the same set of actions: Pause / Resume, Add source, and Delete. Signals can contain one or more data sources — the underlying LinkedIn profiles or searches that feed data into the signal. Each data source row has a Remove action to detach it from the signal.

Pause and resume a signal

Pausing a signal stops Clearcue from collecting new data for that source. Your existing data is preserved — nothing is deleted.
1

Open the settings menu

Click the three-dot menu on the signal row you want to pause.
2

Click Pause signal

Confirm the action in the dialog that appears. The signal status changes to Paused.
3

Resume when ready

Open the same menu and click Resume signal. Data collection starts again immediately.
Pausing is useful when you want to temporarily stop monitoring a profile or search without losing your configuration or collected data.

Add a data source

You can expand an existing signal by adding more data sources to it.
1

Open the settings menu

Click the three-dot menu on the signal you want to expand.
2

Click Add source

Choose the type of source to add — a LinkedIn profile, a search query, or an existing tracked account.
3

Configure and confirm

Follow the setup flow for the new source. Once added, Clearcue starts collecting data from it immediately.
Adding sources to an AI signal lets you combine multiple data streams into a single qualified signal — for example, tracking both a competitor’s profile and a related search query under one signal configuration.

Remove a data source

You can remove individual data sources from a signal without deleting the entire signal.
1

Expand the signal row

Click the signal to reveal its data sources.
2

Open the data source menu

Click the three-dot menu on the data source you want to remove.
3

Click Remove

Confirm the removal in the dialog. The data source is detached and its collected data is removed.
Removing a data source is permanent. The collected data from that source is deleted and cannot be recovered.

Delete a signal configuration

Deleting a signal removes the entire configuration and all its collected data.
1

Open the settings menu

Click the three-dot menu on the signal you want to delete.
2

Click Delete signal

Confirm the deletion. The signal, all its sources, and all collected data are permanently removed.
This action cannot be undone. If you only want to stop collecting data temporarily, use Pause instead.

Signal usage limits

Your plan determines how many active signals you can create. You can check your current usage on the Signals page.
  • Current count — the number of signals you have active right now
  • Limit — the maximum number of signals allowed on your plan (some plans have unlimited signals)
Paused signals do not count towards your limit. Only active signals are counted, so pausing a signal frees up a slot for a new one. When you reach your limit, you cannot create new signals until you pause or delete existing ones. Clearcue shows a notification when you are approaching or have reached your limit.
To free up signal slots, pause signals you don’t need right now or delete ones you no longer need.
