# Research Credits

> Understand how research credits work and their pricing

Research credits are the currency used to research people in Clearcue. When you [run research on a person](/researcher/overview), credits are consumed based on the time range of social activity you want to analyze.

## Researcher Plans

Choose a plan based on your research volume:

| Plan             | Monthly Price | Credits Included |
| ---------------- | ------------- | ---------------- |
| Researcher Basic | €99           | 5,000 credits    |
| Researcher Pro   | €249          | 16,000 credits   |

## Credit Costs

Credits are charged per person researched. The cost depends on the time range of activity you want to analyze:

| Time Range | Credits per Person |
| ---------- | ------------------ |
| 1 week     | 10 credits         |
| 1 month    | 30 credits         |
| 3 months   | 60 credits         |
| 6 months   | 90 credits         |

Longer time ranges provide more comprehensive insights but consume more credits.

## Example Usage

With a **Researcher Basic** plan (5,000 credits), you could research:

* **500 people** with 1 week of activity
* **166 people** with 1 month of activity
* **83 people** with 3 months of activity
* **55 people** with 6 months of activity

With a **Researcher Pro** plan (16,000 credits), you could research:

* **1,600 people** with 1 week of activity
* **533 people** with 1 month of activity
* **266 people** with 3 months of activity
* **177 people** with 6 months of activity
